The Rogers Park Business Alliance (RPBA) offers a holiday rebate for shopping locally. From 11/25-12-31, earn $25 back for every $100 spent, and $50 back on every $150 spent in participating areas (see here for a complete list: http://www.rogers-park.com/2011/11/holiday-shoppers-rebate-is-back.html).
I love this program as a way of helping our local businesses while keeping some dough in my pockets. Even better is the fact that the Glenwood Sunday Market on 12/11, our local farmers market, qualifies for the rebate!
